What’s your hometown and favorite thing to do there?
Bay Village, Ohio. Go to Cleveland Brown’s football games.

What college did you attend and how was your experience?
Hope College. “My experience was awesome. It was a very trans-formative 4 years of my life and I got to have a lot of fun during that time as well.”

What peaked your interest in becoming a special education’s teacher?
“I volunteered in a program in high school where we worked with the special ed students at our high school. That was my first great experience working in the special ed world.”

If you weren’t a teacher, what would you be doing?
“I’d probably be trying to get into occupational therapy school.”

How’d you hear about GRP?
Worked at Wellspring last year and heard about GRP through them.

What was your favorite subject in school?
English. “I actually minored in English at Hope.”

If you could be any dinosaur, what would you be and why?
“Tyrannosaurus Rex because no one would mess with you and you’re giant.”

What’s your favorite book and why?
“I can’t think of a favorite book, but the one I’m reading right now is pretty good. It’s called ‘Glass House’ and it’s a murder mystery. It’s pretty dark, but exciting.”

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
“Probably an eagle because I’ve always wanted to fly and I think that’d be a really liberating and freeing feeling.”

What’s your biggest fear and why?
“Having regret in life because you don’t get a second chance in life a lot.”

What’s your ideal vacation?
Palm Island in the Gulf coast of Florida. “It’s really quiet and the beaches are secluded.”

If you could live in any other country besides the United States, where would you choose to live and why?
New Zealand. “I studied abroad in New Zealand 3 years ago when I was a junior in college. That was the highlight of my 4 years in college.”

Do you have any unique skills of talents?
“I can fold my tongue in half and make it stick. I’ve never seen anyone else who can do it. It’s a very quirky trick, it’s not that impressive.”
