This Vietnamese-based eatery is functional, authentic, and consistent. Three standards for any restaurant to uphold are their atmosphere, food quality, and customer service. We have consistently made an appearance in this Asian diner. At first glance you’ll notice that it’s connected to a food market, so don’t be fooled by the concentration of customers flowing in and out. There are a fair amount of staff always on duty with a flexible schedule. Upon entering, you will rarely encounter having to wait for a table. The atmosphere is lively as satisfied customers are greeted by a warm meal and exceptionally fast service. The menu offers variety in a simplified way, allowing for the best cuisines to be emphasized at an amazingly slim price.

On most visits, we settle on eating the soup meals such as “Pho Tai Bo Bien.” This restaurant does a great job of delivering a hot bowl of soup piled high with noodles and diced meats in decent time. The downsides of eating at “Pho 99” include eating at near closing time. Closing time is 9 pm Tuesday-Saturday and 7 pm on Sunday. Choosing to eat 40 minutes before the restaurant closes will result in your money being turned down due to the staff’s early cleanup. Another downside is the lack of speed to clean off empty tables previously occupied by hungry families. The food comes out fast and your order is taken with ease; finding an open table just takes an extra effort to scout out. In the worst case scenario, “Pho 99” has a convenient take out option as well.

In review, functionality is fair. This being because of the staff’s slight lack of attention to organization and customers. Atmosphere is comfortable and chill. The restaurant keeps itself in check from head-to-toe although the parking lot could receive some renovation, repainting stripes and filling cracks. Last but not least, food quality is excellent! No matter what you decide to eat, the meal is flavorful and hot with room to customize to your preference. The only problem you may face is an inabililty to finish every last drop of your dish.
