Breakfast is one of the best things you can do for your body to help you throughout the day. Many students don’t realize it, but it really can help you get through those long days. WebMD states, “Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day. It also gives you the energy you need to get things done and helps you focus at work or at school.”

This extra energy will in theory, help you be active and able to go through your daily activities without feeling groggy or slowed down.

If you yourself are a student, a kid, or have kids that are in school, the responsibility of feeding yourself and others in the morning can greatly increase performance.

If your school has breakfast that’s provided, take advantage of that. A government website talking about breakfast states: “School Breakfast provides ¼ the recommended amounts of protein, calcium, iron, vitamin A, and vitamin C for the day.”(The rest usually comes from the other two major meals of the day: school lunch and dinner at home).

That gives great amounts of kids daily nutrients right before school, and that means that these kids will have energy to tackle the day and not fall asleep in those very boring classes.

Another website gives us a good insight on breakfast as well; the Harrison School of Business lists that breakfast gives us: better performance, benefits skin health, prevents weight gain, gives us energy to start the day, and can also make you feel happier.
